Account Information

When you create an Apex Life account, we collect your email address, name, and password. We also maintain your account preferences and settings.

Health & Wellness Data

Apex Life collects health and wellness data across 7 life domains:

  • Sleep: sleep duration, quality, sleep patterns
  • Exercise: workouts, steps, distance, calories burned, intensity
  • Nutrition: meals logged, calories, macronutrients, dietary data
  • Work: calendar events, tasks, productivity metrics, time tracking
  • Fun & Social: social activities, event attendance, relationship notes
  • Body: weight, body metrics, health vitals from connected devices
  • Finance: financial account summaries, spending categories, net worth (via Plaid)

Financial Data

When you authorize Plaid, we receive access to your financial account information. This includes account names, types, balances, and transaction history. This data is used solely to calculate your finance domain score and provide personalized financial wellness coaching.

Calendar & Productivity Data

We integrate with Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, and other calendar services to understand your work schedule, meetings, and commitments. This helps us provide contextual coaching around work-life balance.

Music Streaming Data

Through Spotify integration, we collect information about your listening habits to understand your recreational activities and preferences.

Smart Home Data

Apex Life can integrate with SmartThings, Home Assistant, and other smart home platforms to monitor environmental factors like temperature, lighting, and humidity that affect sleep and well-being.

AI Coaching Conversations

All chat messages and conversations with our AI coaching feature are stored and used to improve your coaching experience and train our AI models.

Device Information

We collect information about your device including device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Providing personalized AI coaching across your 7 life domains
  • Calculating daily and weekly life domain scores
  • Generating insights and recommendations tailored to your situation
  • Improving and optimizing our Service and user experience
  • Sending you service updates, announcements, and support messages
  • Detecting, investigating, and preventing fraud and security incidents
  • Complying with legal obligations and enforcing our Terms of Service
  • Analyzing usage patterns to improve our features and integrations

3. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

Apex Life integrates with several third-party services:

Plaid Inc

We use Plaid to securely connect your financial accounts. Plaid acts as a service provider on our behalf. Financial data transmitted through Plaid is encrypted and users can disconnect their accounts at any time. We do not share your financial data with any other third parties and do not sell financial information.

Firebase & Google Cloud

Your data is stored on Firebase infrastructure (Google Cloud Services). Google processes data according to our data processing agreement. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication.

Anthropic Claude API

AI coaching is powered by Anthropic's Claude API. Your chat messages and relevant health data are sent to Claude to generate personalized coaching responses. Anthropic processes this data according to their privacy policy.

Health Platforms

Apple Health, Garmin, Strava, Withings, and other health platforms maintain your original health data. We access only what you authorize and do not store the complete data on our servers.

Productivity Integrations

Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Todoist, Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other integrations provide data to calculate your work domain score. We do not modify your data in these services.

Music & Entertainment

Spotify provides listening data. OpenWeatherMap provides weather data for context. Headspace provides meditation data.

No Data Sales

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising without explicit consent.

4. Data Security

We implement comprehensive security measures to protect your information:

  • TLS 1.2+ encryption for all data in transit
  • AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest
  • Secure authentication with Firebase Authentication
  • Regular security audits and penetration testing
  • Limited access to personal data by authorized personnel only
  • Secure API endpoints with rate limiting and input validation

Despite these measures, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
