When you connect a financial account through Plaid, you consent to Plaid accessing and transferring your financial data as described in the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. We receive access to your account names, types, balances, transaction history, investment holdings, and liability details. We do not have access to your bank login credentials. Financial data accessed through Plaid is not stored permanently on our servers; it is fetched in real-time or cached temporarily for display and scoring purposes. This data is used solely to calculate your finance domain score and provide personalized financial wellness coaching.
We integrate with Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, and other calendar services to understand your work schedule, meetings, and commitments. This helps us provide contextual coaching around work-life balance.
Through Spotify integration, we collect information about your listening habits to understand your recreational activities and preferences.
Apex Life can integrate with SmartThings, Home Assistant, and other smart home platforms to monitor environmental factors like temperature, lighting, and humidity that affect sleep and well-being.
Chat messages and conversations with our AI coaching feature are stored to provide continuity in your coaching experience. Your messages and relevant context are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate personalized responses. Anthropic does not use your data to train AI models. We do not use your coaching conversations for any purpose other than providing and improving your personal coaching experience within the app.
With your permission, Apex Life uses the microphone for voice commands to your AI coach and to record meetings for transcription. Meeting recordings are stored in your private cloud storage and processed for transcription. You can delete recordings at any time.
We collect information about your device including device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information. This information is used for crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics) and performance monitoring. We do not use device identifiers for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Apex Life integrates with several third-party services:
Apex Life uses Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to connect to your financial institutions. By using the Plaid integration in Apex Life, you acknowledge and agree that your financial data will be accessed and transferred by Plaid in accordance with the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.
When you link a financial account, Plaid securely retrieves your account and transaction data using bank-level encryption. We do not have access to your bank login credentials — these are handled entirely by Plaid. The categories of data Plaid collects and shares with us include: account names, types, and balances; transaction history and categories; investment holdings; and liability details. This data is used solely to calculate your finance domain score and provide personalized financial wellness coaching.
Financial data accessed through Plaid is not stored permanently on our servers; it is fetched in real-time or cached temporarily for display and scoring purposes. You may revoke Plaid's access at any time through the Apex Life app settings or by contacting us at [email protected]. We do not share your financial data with any other third parties and do not sell financial information.
Your data is stored on Firebase infrastructure (Google Cloud Services). Google processes data according to our data processing agreement. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication.
AI coaching is powered by Anthropic's Claude API. Your chat messages and relevant health data are sent to Claude to generate personalized coaching responses. Anthropic processes this data according to their privacy policy.
Apple Health, Garmin, Strava, Withings, and other health platforms maintain your original health data. We access only what you authorize and do not store the complete data on our servers.
Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Todoist, Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other integrations provide data to calculate your work domain score. We do not modify your data in these services.
Spotify provides listening data. OpenWeatherMap provides weather data for context. Headspace provides meditation data.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising without explicit consent.
